Depart on an overnight flight from your home airport in the USA bound for Reykjavik, Iceland

Arrive in Reykjavik, Iceland!

Embark on a city walking tour, visit Sky Lagoon or Harpa Concert Hall, or opt for early room access and get some rest.  Group meets up in the evening for a local dinner and receive information on transportation for the following day.

Travel from Reykjavík to explore a lava cave (Raufarholshellir) and see the natural power of volcanoes first-hand. In the afternoon, get up close and personal with the famous Icelandic horse before returning to Álftröð. In the evening, you will have your first chance to see the Northern Lights out in the countryside.

*Option to visit the Secret Lagoon natural hot springs, Golden Circle's best kept secret.

Travel to Sólheimajökull glacier and take some time to explore the area, visit the Skogar Museum or opt for a stunning hike. Drive the scenic southern coast and visit the Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls on the way back to the guest house, before enjoying a homemade dinner.

Head to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, to see the tectonic faults created by North American and Eurasian tectonic plates shifting apart. The Oxara river cuts through the largest rift in the valley. Visit sights like the Geysir Hot Spring and Gullfoss waterfall before transferring back to Reykjavik for one final evening with your new friends.

Play Airlines is a low cost Icelandic carrier offering affordable flights from 5 airports (US/CA) including Hamilton Canada and Stewart Airport in New Windsor, NY.

Airport Transportation - $38.36/each way

Fly Bus is the popular and affordable transportation option from the airport to Reykjavik, about a 45 minute drive.  The airport is actually located in Keflavik near the Blue Lagoon.  If you prefer not to take the bus, download the app HOPP for local taxi service.

Travel Insurance - $Varies - Plan for $115 - $250

Medical Travel Insurance is MANDATORY for this trip, and proof must be submitted prior to travel.  Required to purchase at least $200,000 in Medical Expense and Transportation.  Truly Travelin will send a you quote from highly rated Generali Insurance that offers the coverage you need a long with added bonuses of 24/7 hotlines and TeleMed.
